The highly anticipated Redmi Note 7 has been finally been launched in India, alongside the Redmi Note 7 Pro which made its global debut on Thursday. Both smartphones offer impressive hardware, beautiful designs, and fast charging at very competitive price points. 


The Redmi Note 7 starts at a price in India of Rs. 9,999 and will be available from March 6 onwards, while the more powerful Redmi Note 7 Pro has a starting price of Rs. Rs. 13,999 and will hit store shelves on March 13. Both Redmi Note 7 Pro and Redmi Note 7 will be available on Flipkart, at Mi Home stores, and on Mi.com.

We managed a get a brief hands-on experience and spent some time with both these new smartphones at the launch event, and here are our first impressions.

Redmi Note 7 Pro and Redmi Note 7

Xiaomi has gone unexpectedly attractive designs for these two new smartphones, and finally introduced the gradient patterns, which are currently in vogue, for the Redmi series. Redmi Note 7 Pro comes in Space Black, Nebula Red and Neptune Blue Color Options, with the latter two eye-catching gradient flirting - some call Xiaomi Aura Design. 

On the other hand, Redmi Note 7 has a reflective body and it comes in the options of an onyx black, as well as Ruby Red and Sapphire Blue variants. Reflect light from the latter two rear panels and look beautiful. Xiaomi has definitely gone with a bold color palette, and this condition has a great pay. 

There are certainly lots of substances to go with all the flash. Redmi Note 7 Pro and Redmi Note 7 both have a layer of 2.5D Curved-Edge Corning Gorilla Glass 5, as well as its rear panels, and a P2i hydrophobic nano-coating is claimed that this casual liquid Protects the smartphone from spreads 

Xiaomi claims that the corners have been reinforced in both models and there are water cut seals in the buttons areas and in some other places. Except for colors on their Glassy rear panel, Redmi Note 7 Pro and Redmi Note 7 are in the same locations with both the same ports and buttons.

Both models have Volume and Power buttons on the right, which provide satisfactory touch feedback and do not feel emotional. On the left side, each phone has a hybrid dual-sim + MicroSD card slot.

Radmi Note 7 Pro and Radmi Note 7 both have 3.5mm headphone jacks and IR emitters at the top, and the USB Type-C port at the bottom is grilled on both sides. Overall, we saw Radmi Note 7 and Radmi Note 7 Pro looking good, strong and easy to handle - a combination of such features that the buyers would definitely appreciate.

Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro both have a 6-3-inch full-HD + (1080x2340 pixels) LTPS in-cell display in front fasius, which has 19.5: 9 aspect ratios. The panel is claimed to be TUV-certified to reduce Blue Light Exposure. 


Both phones have some thick chin and small pieces - "dot noch", in the words of Xiaomi - sits at the top. In our short time spent with these two phones, the color reproduction and brightness of the display appeared fine, but we described them as very reflexive, especially under the Bright Indoor Lighting.

The Radmi Note 7 Pro Okta-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 is powered by SoC, and has 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage which can be increased from 256GB to microSD card. In the Imaging Department, Redmi Note 7 Pro has a 48-megapixel primary sensor (Sony IMX586) with a 5-megapixel depth sensor, while the 13-megapixel front camera for Selfie has been taken care of.

Redmi Note 7 has the Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, which has 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 256GB. The imaging hardware of this model has a 12-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor, plus a 13-megapixel front camera for selfie.
 
 
Both of these smartphones pack 4,000mAh of battery and support Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0 standard. In the software side, they both run MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie.

We briefly navigated through UI and found many preinstalled apps, which included both in-house and third-party. We found both smartphones in the form of zippies in which the applications are loading quickly and the animations are appearing, but we will save our final ideas for our in-depth review.
